Kenya stands at a crossroads, and The New Democrats (TND) – The Summit Coalition believes it has the solution. Led by Hon. David Sudi, the movement aims to reshape the country’s leadership, economy, and governance through a mix of political, economic, and spiritual reforms.
Over 11 million Kenyans did not vote in the 2022 elections, a clear sign of growing political disillusionment. TND sees this as an opportunity to introduce new leadership that is accountable and focused on the well-being of all Kenyans. The coalition argues that Kenya needs a fresh start, free from the influence of political idols, and guided by faith and principles.
Spiritual and Biblical Inspiration
TND’s vision is deeply rooted in biblical teachings. Hon. Sudi shares that his mission was revealed through divine encounters, linking Kenya to Israel and biblical history. He believes that just as Moses led the Israelites to the Promised Land, Kenya is on the brink of a transformation, if the people unite under true leadership.
A central part of this vision is the dissolution of the 13th Parliament, which TND claims has failed to uphold constitutional mandates, including the two-thirds gender rule. The coalition believes a new, reformed government, what they call “The First Parliament in Canaan”, is necessary to lead Kenya into a prosperous future.
Economic Empowerment: The One Cow per Group of Ten Initiative
One of the biggest challenges Kenya faces is food security. With a rising population, the country’s agricultural productivity has stagnated. TND proposes an innovative solution: the “One Cow per Group of Ten” program. This initiative aims to provide economic empowerment and food security by encouraging cooperative dairy farming.
The plan focuses on the Fleckvieh cow breed, known for its high milk production (45-60 liters per day) and quality beef. By forming groups of ten, Kenyans can gain access to a cow that will help generate income, provide food, and improve livelihoods. The goal is to reach 3 million groups by 2030, creating 45 million jobs and generating over Sh600 billion annually.
The Road Ahead
TND envisions a Kenya where leadership is based on integrity, citizens are economically empowered, and governance follows divine principles. The coalition calls on all Kenyans to support their vision of a transformed nation.
